  • Who Needs Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is beneficial for individuals of all ages who are experiencing pain, limited mobility, or recovering from an injury, surgery, or illness. Whether you are an athlete looking to enhance performance, an elderly individual seeking to improve balance and prevent falls, or someone with chronic pain or a musculoskeletal disorder, physical therapy can help. At Desert Rose PT, our team of experienced therapists works with a diverse range of clients, providing personalized treatment plans to address their specific needs and goals. Whether you have a specific condition like arthritis or back pain or simply want to improve your overall physical function, our physical therapy services aim to improve your quality of life and optimize your physical well-being.
  • How Do I Schedule An Appointment?
You can either: - Go to "Our Services" page and schedule a session or free discovery call - Fill out a contact form at the bottom of this page and we will reach out - Call us anytime at (760) 289-8358
  • Do You Accept My Insurance?
Desert Rose Physical Therapy is a cash-based physical therapy clinic meaning that we are an Out-of-Network Provider. This setup allows us to provide you the exact care you need without requiring insurance approval. The current in-network model of physical therapy does not allow for the individual attention and detailed treatment that you deserve. At Desert Rose PT you will always work 1:1 with a doctor, and will be not left in the corner hooked up to machines or thrown off to an aide. After each session we will provide you with a super bill which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. If you have any questions about this, please call us.
  • Do I Need a Prescription From My Doctor?
No! (yay!). In California, we are a direct-access state, meaning that we can provide you physical therapy care without the need of a MD referral. If you will be seen for more than 45 days or 12 visits, we will send a plan of care to your physician to sign to receive more therapy.
  • What is the Pelvic Floor?
The Pelvic Floor is a group of muscles located inside of the pelvis. These muscles consist of 3 layers and function together to provide stability, support for organs, bladder/bowel control, sexual function, and breathing. Pelvic floor dysfunction can present itself in many different ways such as: - low back pain - pelvic pain (IC) - groin pain - urinary incontinence (SUI, UUI, MUI) - bowel incontinence - constipation - hemorrhoids - pelvic organ prolapse (POP) - painful periods - pain with intercourse - pain with erection - pain with orgasm & more
  • What Is Your Cancellation/ No Show Policy?
Please provide 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a fee of $50. No-show appointments will be charged the full price of the service. Extenuating circumstances and special situations will be reviewed on an individual basis.
  • What is An Evaluation?
The first thing we will do it take an extensive history to figure out what the problem is , what could be contributing to it, and how long it has been occurring After the history assessment, we will conduct a series of tests and measures specific to what you are experiencing such as mobility and strength testing. Once that is complete we will explain what is happening in your body, and set up an individualized action plan. Once, you approve of the plan we will begin treatment right away.
  • What Can I Expect At A Follow-up?
Follow up appointments will be based on findings during your initial evaluation and on an as-need basis. Because of our cash model, we are awarded the flexibility to cater to your individual needs and goals. Sessions will include a combination of manual therapy body work, corrective exercises and strategies for home management. Most sessions are 1x/wk but will be discussed with your provider based on your goals.
